60 LAPS. NEVER ALONE.

The challenge

200 kilometres. 60 laps. Never alone.

Matt & Dan are running 200 kilometres around Newcastle: 60 laps, one for every man lost to suicide every hour. We’re bringing this year’s challenge home to Newcastle. Instead of disappearing down a highway, we’ll return to the same hub every lap, so people can come down, run with us, support us and help carry the challenge through the night.

The course

60 laps. One for every man lost each hour.

The short repeat loop brings every lap back to the same hub, making it easy for anyone to join in. Run one lap or ten, walk with us, cheer from the hub, or stay through the ugly hours. Whether you’re an old mate or someone we haven’t met yet, you’re welcome to come down and be part of it.

Back to our routes

From 60km to the MOBRO200K.

The whole thing started with Movember’s Move 60 Challenge. That first challenge sparked an idea. Since then, the team has grown, the distances have got bigger, the ideas have become more ridiculous, and the reason behind them has only become more important.

Last year’s Sydney-to-Newcastle run showed us what we were capable of, but it also showed us what we were missing. The route made it hard for friends, family and the wider community to be part of it. This year we’re changing that.

Back the cause

Move for men. Show up for each other.

The MOBRO200K is built around Movember’s Move 60 idea and the number 60 itself. If running isn’t your thing, you can still be part of the challenge by coming down to the hub, supporting through the night or donating to our Movember page.

Quick info

What people will want to know.

Do I have to run?

Not at all. Come down to the hub, walk a lap, cheer, hang out or simply be there to support us.

How far is one lap?

Each lap is roughly 3.4 km. Check out the course preview above to see the route we’re running.

Can I do more than one lap?

Absolutely. One lap, five laps, ten laps. Stay as long as you can.

What if the boys are behind schedule?

All lap and distance information shown beside the time slots is projected. We’ll do our best to stay on schedule, but with a challenge like this things can change. Live tracking will be available on event day, and the website will show our updated projected finish time.
